Bilbert's Farewell

It's a bitter sweet moment, as Bilbert has finally taken off to his new adventure! We decided he will take off to his first destination, England, and do the local tour of Ottawa when he comes back home.  All his buddies were sad to see him go, but wished him well and look forward to hearing about his travel adventures.  They gave him quite the send off... needless to say when I came home yesterday, I walked right in the middle of his farewell party.. in my kitchen!!  So I quickly grabbed the camera and took a few pictures.  There was a lot of mischief going on.  Monsters drinking all sorts of strange beers, monkeys monkeying around, kitties in the pizza box, drunken bandits passed out and a few binging on chips.. oh boy! you just have to witness it for yourself!

They are so cute! They even made him a sign..aaaaaw!

..Then he got a little teary eyed... it was time to go catch his flight..

All packed and on his way...we are all sad as we watch him leave..

....off he goes! we are all shouting our goodbyes!!

So long Bilbert!! We love you!! write as soon as you get there...we are dying to hear about your adventures in England!

Canadian Postal Strike is over!!

This is great news for a lot of etsians..and all Canadians in general!  What a pain that was!! So you know that means that Bilbert can finally start travelling! So all you guys that signed up to host him, start getting his room ready :)..and stock up on batteries for your cameras..and start planning all the cool places he will visit! Remember to send me stories of his mischief as often as you can. woohoo! Now off to have a farewell party for him!

Monster exploration....and bunnies

So with all the people that signed up for the travelling monster quest, I had a few local people!  And since Canada post is still on strike, he can go visit the locals first! So from the beginning of next week we should start to hear adventures of his travels.  So keep visiting my blog for updates on what he is up to.

On the etsy side we have come changes.  I started recreating, all my bunnies previously had black fleece on the inside of the ears.  Then it occured to me that some people may want more colour! So here are some of my newer colourful ones...

Great buys!...and Bilbert..

I've been MIA all weekend long.. all for a good reason though.  I went on a shopping trip to Syracuse! My first time ever!! I got some great deals and I was in good company so it made for a great weekend!  I got four pairs of jeans for $50 among some other great bargains.  Too bad the weekend flew by and I have to go back to work tomorrow. On another note..I'm hoping Bilbert will start his journey ASAP!  Canada post may resume work this week.  Great for us all.   I'm sure you etsians have had a bit of trouble shipping to Canada, but everything should be resolved really soon.

The beginning of an adventure..

So I received at least 15 names and addresses as a result of my monster travellers request.  So my critter has atleast 15 destinations to go to!! That's a great start!! Thank you so much you guys for participating in this fun adventure.  I'm sure my monster will love all the places you will show him and I will have such an awesome time blogging about it.  So i'm wondering whether to make a specific one to travel or pick one of the ones I have in my shop..I was thinking Bilbert (the raspberry coloured one) in my shop would be ideal.  He is the adventurous type and he is very photogenic ...or maybe Hilbert? (the orange one) Both of them are pretty lightweight.  What do you guys think?

Travelling Monster Madness

So i'm really getting into blogging! I love reading all your blogs... everybody has something interesting to say! I will try to keep mine as interesting as all your blogs.  Speaking of interesting, I have a whacky idea and I wonder what you guys think about it.  I would like to send one of my critters around to travel the world..and hopefully get back to me at some point.  I need a bunch of people willing to participate just for fun! So I would sent the monster to you, you could then spend a few days with him showing him around your city..or home.  Ideally I would love for you to take a picture of him or with him doing something silly, fun, ..get creative..or not.  It would be great if we can tell which city he is from the pic if possible, or maybe take a picture close to some iconic monument, statue etc in your city.  Then send him off to the next person. 

Obviously I'm looking for honest, fun people that are willing to spend a few bucks to send him to the next person.  It may be a dumb idea, but if we get a bunch of fun people this could be interesting! He may end up being the most travelled monster.  I will try to make him light and as limber as possible to make it cheaper on shipping.

Getting creative

So after the busy holiday season last year, I just relaxed and forgot about creating anything for months.  I took an incredible vacation to Kenya, and after that had a hard time checking out of vacation mode.  So finally I started to get creative again...thank goodness!  My etsy store has been very slow, partly because I paid no attention to it for the longest time, and partly because now that I'm finally active..its a slow time.  Everyone is complaining about sales! So I won't take it personally! ... and beside I've had some really positive feedback on my stuff, so I don't think my critters suck!

Anyways, here are some of my monsters...

I'm back

I can't believe how much I've had going on!!! I have been so busy with work, vacation and my etsy store that I have completely ignored my blog.....not that I had much going on, but I will keep at it and make it interesting enough that I will get you guys reading it!!  Hopefully I can have themes that will keep it fun and interesting.  I will welcome any suggestions and share any links as well!
